So I was watching The Whispers of Nockmaar for the millionth time, as you do, when I caught something about the scene where Jade sees the vision of her mother after the supposed Bone Reaver attack.
Check out that arrow, specifically the fletching and coloration.
We learn later from Scorpia that it wasn’t Bone Reavers who killed Jade’s family, but actually rangers of Tir Asleen.
And if you may have doubted the veracity of Scorpia’s claim, just take a look at what’s in the Tir Asleen Princess’ quiver.
Those look kinda familiar, huh?
I think it’s interesting how either Jade remembered this little detail and didn’t make the connection about the arrows, or that this was Nockmaar trying to reveal an unhappy truth to her, in much the same way as showing Elora her own mother’s death.
There’s definitely something very wrong with this castle…

Just in case anyone wanted to queue this for another 10 years
I know we joke about Kit and Jade’s romance being really obvious to literally everybody but I am just. looking at this gif and it’s hitting me all over again. Kit’s hands on Jade’s shoulders, the way they’re moving, how she’s looking at her - that is the gayest look I’ve ever seen. There is literally no way that anyone in that room, in that building, that entire kingdom who doesn’t know. Who doesn’t know and gossip endlessly about the wild hearted princess who has a thing for her knight or about the young knight, so dashing, you know she’s going to be the best knight in the kingdom one day, who’s so smitten with the princess that it’s not even funny. And with Kit looking at Jade like that and literally saying “yeah it doesn’t matter if I get married to some other guy we’ll still ride and train and -” in a public space on the night she’s meeting her betrothed you know the gossips in that room are nodding to themselves and going “yep called it they’re just gonna carry on and have an affair”. No one in this whole kingdom would believe you if you told them they haven’t even told each other yet. Haven’t even kissed yet. They’d think you’re mad like just look how they’re looking at each other
